Carolina Hurricanes Nashville reviews
All Staff were very accomodating!!!!
Took my dad on his 92nd birthday to the Blues vs Canes game on Jan 30! First of all, he has Prostate and Colon Cancer (CC for 3rd time in less than 2 years)...& in his final time of life. He has been on chemo, so we do not know from one day to the next, how he will be feeling. Called on Friday morning, game day...and talked w/George who displays birthdays, etc. on speaker screen at center ice. Usually, they require 48 hrs notice... however after explaining dad's situation, George said they would be glad to accommodate the request...and even told me when during the intermission to be looking for his Happy Birthday screen---sure enough in bright bold letters--"Happy 92nd Birthday Dad Price"! It was perfect and really touched dad, that his name would be there in lights! Secondly, talked with Parking Department about where to park for handicapped parking...and gentleman who answered phone explained everything to me & then said--"and if anyone gives you any trouble, tell them (and he gave me his name) that I told you to park there and they will deal with me!" Made me chuckle! Thirdly, contacted the Arena Club restaurant and made reservations for dinner...again shared dad's situation & asked if they could bring out a cupcake or something with a birthday candle for dad following dinner. No Problem we can do that...Laura said. Well to our surprise, the dessert chef made dad, my wife & I a very special dessert, with a candle in it! Again, not only was the candle blowed away by dad...but he was too at the hospitality showed him! Laura ended up being our waitress and made over dad several times and other waiters/waitresses did the same about his 92nd birthday. And several persons also found out that dad was a WW2 vet, they came over and thanked him for his service to our country! The restaurant manger also came over & talked with dad, thanked him for his service, wished him Happy birthday...and took care of his meal! Dad, overwhelmed by it all, couldn't believe it and at one point kinda broke down! The restaurant staff went beyond anything we could have imagined for him-- OUTSTANDING!!! And then the Canes, after giving up 2 early goals battled back to tie the game...send it into overtime and then a shootout! The Blues won in the shootout... which was fine with dad...cause he lives outside St. Louis and is a avid Blues fan!! Oh by the way, he cheered..."Lets Go Blues"...each time we yelled "Lets Go Canes"...as he wore His 1970's Blue hockey jersey all evening long...even thru dinner!! What a special night! Dad even met some Blues fans who live very close to where he was born & raised in Illinois---small world! Overall, Great Memories, my wife & I will never forget!!!! Thank you all, so very much for making the night--more special than we ever anticipated! Each one of you will always hold a very special place in our hearts!
